One night I came across a song by Japanese singer-songwriter Angela Aki called “Tegami”, which translates to “Letter” in English. In the song she shares her journey, her hopes and her dreams. She also lends her voice to  sing about each and everyone of us who have ever struggled or fallen down trying to achieve our goals, or for those who still haven’t a clue as to what they are. In her message Aki tells us it is ok, don’t cry, keep moving forward and everything in life has meaning.

The song then gave me the idea to begin a project where I would go around and ask Weber State students to write a letter to their future selves and share their hopes, dreams, likes and dislikes with me. Though the editing in this video was rough and I had some trouble with lighting/color correcting I hope to be able to continue this project and improve my skills with each new video.
